1984 VW Derby LS MKII
- 52K Original KM's!
This 1984 Derby is the last
year or production for the Derby. The Derby is essentially a VW Polo with
a trunk. In 1981 the second generation was introduced and it was produced
until 1984. After that, it was rebranded as the "Polo Classic." A
German Car enthusiast in Pennsylvania had brought this Derby to the states, but
sold it along with a DOKA to make room for future vehicles. This Derby came from
Germany and has been impeccably maintained. The car is completely stock
and original (other than a paint touch up on the bottom of the doors), and is a
remarkable time warp vehicle. It has only travelled 52K original KM's
(about 32K Miles!). It has a 1.3L 4-Cylinder gas engine and the 'LS' trim
includes the body-side moldings, and a nicer interior. It was owned one
elderly female in Germany who always kept it in a garage. It is a rare
L324 "Polar Silver," a shade of silver (almost gold) which was never used on any
US models. I bought the car in November, 2009 and plan on keeping it
completely original and untouched. I believe this to be the only MKII
Derby in the USA, if you own one let me know!
