1974 VW 412 Coupe
The Type 4 is often
considered VW's Edsel. The 412 was ahead of and behind its time all at once.
Fully unitized body and coil springs were new for VW, among many other firsts.
1974 was the last year for the 412. The 412 was available in a 4-door
sedan, 2 door wagon, and the 'sportier' 2-door coupe. Few were equipped
with a manual transmission. Very fun and quite impressive to drive, but
